A fine night and lots of orienteers. The first of the schools events meant that there were lots of people. Not nearly the number we estimated but still very busy, especially early on.
Thank you very much to Dave Crofts and Catherine Price for todays courses. Good courses with a challenge for everyone. Thanks also to Allan Janes who did the controlling role, making suggestions on the courses and checking all the control sites. This is a difficult map, it is very difficult to get an accurate map as the place is changing all the time. On Sunday we noticed a tree was gone so duely took it off the map and put the stump on the map. Further checking on Monday revealed that the stump had been ground down and removed. A fast changing map. Thanks to those that worked on the courses under these fluid conditions.

Remember the saga of the cars last week? The lost keys were found the next day by Scott as he was training on the Park. They are now back with a very grateful owner who has been saved large costs for getting a new alarm system installed.
There are only 2 Summer Series Events to go!! Next week we shift to THURSDAY night. Please note the change in day. The start is in Lloyd Elsmore Park and the entry is either off Pakuranga Highway or Cascades Rd and the date is 7th March. This map has been newly remapped so come and have a go before it is out of date again!!
Don't forget the evening events hosted by the Counties Manukau Club.
They have one on today (Thursday 28th March) at Hayman Park Manurewa
