Mt Eden 10 December 1998
Another great night and the rain held off till you'd all gone home. For those that did course 1, David Stewart was the setter - it was all his idea!!. Sorry to those who were affected by missing controls; it was our worst night of the season. Thank you to Amy for finding the first control on courses 3 & 4 which was hidden quite close by but cunningly placed behind a fence. We had trouble finding one of the later controls on course 4 and hope no-one was bothered by its disappearing.
Welcome to the first timers who joined us today. Great to have you with us. We look forward to seeing you again at future summer series events. Coaching is available. There is a form on one of the boards that you can fill in or you can ask about it at the campermatic. Coaching can be given at any level (except I'm not sure how much help we can give you Shaun).
It's quite a view from the bottom of the crater, isn't it, steep land all round - who had the energy to enjoy the view from the top??
The emails went peculiar last week, many not getting one but 2 people got about a dozen each. Perhaps we should tell you who they are and you could get yours from them!!! We haven't looked yet to see why there was a problem but we'll be very careful this week. Next week is the last event before Christmas. It is on Tuesday the 15th starting in Puriri Drive, just off Green Lane Road. NOTE: we are back to Tuesday so there is only 5 days from todays event to the next one. The first event after Christmas is on January the 28th - on the same hill as today!!!! (Starting in Mt Eden Road.)
